Terms & Conditions
1. GENERAL
1.1 This Website and/or Mobile Application (“Platform”) is owned and operated by Medix Wellness Sdn. Bhd. (“Company”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”).
1.2 By accessing, downloading, registering or using this Platform, you (“User”, “You”) agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1.3 We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of such amendments.
1.4 We grant You a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Platform in accordance with these Terms.
2. SERVICES PROVIDED
2.1 The Platform connects Users with independent healthcare service providers including:
- Teleconsultation Services
- Online Pharmacy
- Health Screening Services
- Specialist & Hospital Search
- Other healthcare-related services as updated
2.2 All healthcare professionals, pharmacies, laboratories and hospitals listed are independent service providers. The Company does not practice medicine.
3. TELECONSULTATION SERVICES
3.1 Users may consult registered medical practitioners via chat, audio or video.
3.2 Teleconsultation is not a substitute for emergency medical care. In case of emergency, seek immediate physical treatment.
3.3 Users may upload medical records via the secure Platform. We are not responsible for documents sent outside the Platform.
3.4 Potential risks include:
- Technical interruptions
- Incomplete medical records
- Delays in diagnosis
- Rare data security breaches
3.5 All medical professionals must hold valid registration with Malaysia Medical Council (MMC) and a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
4. ONLINE PHARMACY
4.1 Users may purchase over-the-counter products or prescription medication.
4.2 Prescription-only medicines require valid prescription.
4.3 Delivery is limited to Malaysia.
4.4 We are not responsible for misuse, allergic reactions or non-compliance with prescribed instructions.
5. HEALTH SCREENING & OTHER SERVICES
5.1 Health screening services are provided by third-party laboratories, clinics or hospitals.
5.2 Appointments are subject to availability.
5.3 Interpretation of results (where applicable) will be conducted by qualified medical professionals.
6. MEMBERSHIP & ELIGIBILITY
6.1 Users must be at least 18 years old or use the Platform under guardian consent.
6.2 Users are responsible for safeguarding login credentials.
6.3 We reserve the right to suspend accounts for false information or misuse.
7. COMMUNICATIONS
7.1 By using the Platform, You consent to receiving calls, SMS, emails and notifications.
7.2 Marketing communications may be opted out by contacting us at medix.wellness@aim-net.com.my.
8. PAYMENT
8.1 Platform registration is free.
8.2 Consultation fees, medication costs, delivery charges and screening fees must be paid prior to service delivery.
8.3 We are not liable for payment gateway failures or declined transactions.
9. SERVICE TAX (SST)
In accordance with the Service Tax Act 2018 and SST expansion effective 1 July 2025:
- 6% SST applies to private healthcare services provided to non-Malaysian citizens.
- Medication purchases remain SST exempt under current regulations.
10. E-INVOICE COMPLIANCE
10.1 In compliance with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) e-Invoice framework:
- Transaction data may be transmitted to LHDN for validation.
- User details may be disclosed for tax compliance.
10.2 We are not liable for validation delays caused by LHDN systems.
10.3 Users are responsible for ensuring accurate billing information.
11. USER OBLIGATIONS
Users agree NOT to:
- Violate Malaysian laws
- Upload harmful or defamatory content
- Reverse engineer the Platform
- Upload viruses or malicious code
- Misrepresent identity
12. DISCLAIMERS
12.1 The Platform is provided on an “AS IS” basis.
12.2 We do not guarantee treatment outcomes.
12.3 We do not interfere with independent medical practice.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by You for the specific service in dispute.
14. INDEMNITY
You agree to indemnify the Company against claims arising from misuse of the Platform or breach of these Terms.
15. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Malaysian courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
16. SEVERABILITY
If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain enforceable.
17. ACCEPTANCE
By clicking “Register” or “Sign In”, you acknowledge that:
- You have read and understood these Terms
- You agree to be legally bound
- This constitutes a legally binding digital agreement
